In response to the rapidly evolving and high flow of information about Covid-19 during the pandemic, the team at UBC Rural Continuing Professional Development (CPD) are providing the following resources for rural and remote healthcare providers.
A free, weekly, rural-focused COVID-19 webinar. Let us know if you have more ideas for topics – email Hadas Haft or Dr. Dana Hubler
Faculty of Medicine is hosting a free, bi-weekly webinar series on a variety of clinical topics. This resource covers a broad context of care and is not exclusive to care in the rural setting.
If you are meeting with and/or caring for Indigenous citizens and their family members, UBC CPD has two videos and a written resource to strengthen your awareness of cultural safety, especially in the context of a pandemic. Access that information here.
- Rapid Evidence and Knowledge Translation (REAKT) for rural providers during COVID-19
UBC CPD is launching this new personalized program to answer rural providers’ specific clinical Covid-19 questions. Developed in partnership with RCCbc and supported by senior medical student volunteers, this program offers a skilled ‘concierge’ service to provide rapid, customized answers to COVID-19-related clinical questions based on current best practices, evidence, ideas, and innovations. All questions and content are vetted by experienced rural physicians, housed in a shared resource library and actively disseminated to rural physicians in BC and Canada.
