Nominations for 2020 BC Rural Health Awards now open!

RCCbc is now accepting nominations for the 2020 BC Rural Health Awards. Download the documentation for the awards now:

Each year, RCCbc offers three awards. In 2020, we will be offering the following awards:

  1. Rural BC Community Award – recognizes a community that develops innovative and collaborative approaches and solutions to addressing local healthcare needs within their community;
  2. Team-based Rural Maternity Care – recognizes a Rural Maternity Healthcare team (may be interprofessional) that demonstrates an integrated approach to establishing, strengthening, or maintaining primary healthcare and maternity services in the community; and,
  3. Lifetime Achievement Award – recognizes a rural physician with a minimum of 15 years of service in rural BC, who has also contributed significantly to improvements and/or innovation in rural health service practice and delivery at a provincial, national and/or international level.

Download the nomination form now – submit it to us with your suggestions and a minimum of two letters of support no later than Friday, January 31, 2020. The criteria used to assess each category may be downloaded here.

Award recipients will be announced and recognized at the 2020 BC Rural Health Conference in Penticton on May 29-31.
