RCCbc is bringing back the Rural Locum Forum and the BC Rural Health Conference to Nanaimo, BC on May 24-26, 2019. The two popular CME/CPD events provide rurally relevant content and learning as well as networking, and supportive program information for rural healthcare providers in BC.
“Provider wellness” will once again be a focus at the BC Rural Health Conference, with complimentary mindfulness and wellness activities – such as yoga and meditation – on offer during the conference. Complimentary childcare during conference hours will allow providers to attend sessions and spend quality time with their families in the beautiful hub city of Nanaimo.
In addition to the plenaries, small group learning, and hands-on workshops being offered as part of the conference, several stand-alone courses – such as The CARE Course – will also be offered ahead of the two events.
The Rural Locum Forum will be held ahead of the BC Rural Health Conference on the morning of Friday, May 24. This event is ideal for residents, new graduates, physicians transitioning from full-time practice, and providers interested in expanding their practice into BC’s rural communities. The interactive forum will provide opportunities to discuss practical tips and rural locuming policy concerns, and will also facilitate networking opportunities for attendees. This event is co-hosted with the Rural and Remote Division of Family Practice.
Registration for the Rural Locum Forum and the BC Rural Health Conference will open in February. Seats for stand-alone courses and hands-on workshops will be limited – register early to avoid disappointment! To be one of the first to receive a conference brochure, email firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the conference email list. Your information will only be used to send you CME/CPD information and will not be distributed to a third party.
