Join us in Nanaimo, May 24-26, 2019 for Rural Locum Forum, BC Rural Health Conference!

Come and network with your fellow rural providers while updating your skills and knowledge at the 2019 Rural Locum Forum and the BC Rural Health Conference. Both events are returning to the Vancouver Island Conference Centre in Nanaimo, so book your time off early and join us on the coast in May!

The Rural Locum Forum will be a half day event, offered on the morning of Friday, May 24, 2019. Residents, physicians transitioning from full-time practice to locuming, and providers who are new to rural medicine are encouraged to attend this event. The day will involve tips from practicing locums, discussion of key issues facing locuming providers, and opportunities to network.

The BC Rural Health Conference will begin on Friday, May 24 following the Rural Locum Forum. This popular rural conference provides an opportunity for rural and regional health care providers and interprofessional teams to participate in hands-on workshops, small group learning, and plenary sessions. Come and enjoy our provider wellness activities such as early morning running groups, yoga and stretch sessions and chair massages. As always, we offer free childcare during conference sessions, so bring your family with you in 2019!

If you would like to be one of the first to receive registration information for these events, email conference @rccbc.ca and ask to be placed on a mailing list. You’ll receive a brochure on the first day of open registration!
