Save the date for BC rural health conferences, May 24-26, 2019

The Rural Locum Forum and the BC Rural Health Conference will be returning to the Vancouver Island Conference Centre in Nanaimo next May 2019!

The Rural Locum Forum will be a half day event, offered on the morning of Friday, May 24, 2019. Residents, physicians transitioning from full-time practice to locuming, and providers who are new to rural medicine are encouraged to attend this event. The day will involve tips from practicing locums, discussion of key issues facing locuming providers, and opportunities to network.

The BC Rural Health Conference will begin on Friday, May 24 following the Rural Locum Forum. This popular rural conference will offer a half day of CME/CPD on Friday and Sunday, and run a full day of sessions and workshops on Saturday. Rural and regional health care providers and interprofessional teams are invited to participate in hands-on workshops, small group learning, and plenary sessions. There will be several opportunities to network with your rural and regional colleagues. As always, we offer free childcare during conference sessions, so bring your family with you in 2019!
