Looking for rural CME/CPD that engages you, supports your practice, and offers opportunities to connect with rural healthcare providers from across the province? Join us in Nanaimo from May 11-13 for the BC Rural Health Conference (RHC). This event provides accredited, rurally-relevant educational sessions, hands-on workshops, and small group learning in the areas of rural medicine, emergency medicine, and practice management. Rural physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, allied health professionals, administrators, rural communities, and trainees will find the conference beneficial for their medical practices.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Provider Wellness. ” During session breaks, we will offer wellness activities such as yoga, massage, meditation, and run/walk groups – bring your active wear and join in. Complimentary childcare will be available for RHC delegates bringing their families to the conference.
If you are currently a rural locum, or want to learn how to become one, join us at the 2018 Rural Locum Forum on the morning of Friday, May 11. Registration is only $75 for physicians, while attendance for BC medical residents will be sponsored by the conference co-hosts, RCCbc and the Rural and Remote Division of Family Practice. It’s a great opportunity to focus on locum-specific professional development and to connect with other locums, other interested providers, trainees, and rural communities. Bring your questions!
Registration is now open for both events:
Bring the whole family and explore the beautiful Hub City of Nanaimo while keeping yourself up to date on rural medical practice.
