NEEP is accepting applications for Fall 2018 cohort

The Nanaimo Emergency Education Program (NEEP) is accepting applications for the Sept – December 2018 until March 21, 2018. Family physicians working in smaller and/or rural communities are invited to submit their names for consideration for one of the three available NEEP remunerated fellowships.

The innovative NEEP program offers evaluation, mentorship, and comprehensive clinical hands-on skills and training enhancement in Emergency Medicine. Successful applicants will complete 12 weeks of clinical education, including two rotations – each four (4) weeks long – of core clinical emergency training and one rotation – two to four (2-4) weeks long – of elective content. During this time, participants will also attend academic education sessions, and complete a course evaluation. Training will take place at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH), with NRGH emergency physicians providing regular progress evaluations and educational experiences to help shape each participant’s learning plan.
