Here’s to another 10 years: RCCbc refreshes its logo

Posted on December 14, 2017 by SharonM

RCCbc has engaged, coordinated and liaised with rural health stakeholders from across the province for more than 10 years. Working under the auspices of the Joint Standing Committee on Rural Issues (JSC), we’ve developed relationships with people from front line providers to the Minister of Health, facilitated multi-stakeholder discussions about rural medical practice issues, and advised vulnerable rural communities. We’ve funded the creation of traveling rural medical courses, hosted rural CME/CPD conferences, and brokered the inclusion of rural voices in medical education through the Rural Doctors’ UBC Chair in Rural Health.

During this time, we’ve represented ourselves with a logo that conveys rurality, inclusivity, and integration. While it is definitely time for a change, there is also a strong desire to stay true to the heart of RCCbc: focused on relationships and continuing to enhance and support rural healthcare delivery and rural medical education in British Columbia.

Our refreshed logo retains the same artistic elements, with the addition of new indigenous designs by BC First Nations designer and illustrator, Evelyn Alec. The colours are brighter and fresher, to convey the great energy and enthusiasm that often drives rural healthcare advocates and providers to do their best every day.

RCCbc is proud to work for the betterment of rural health in British Columbia, and look forward to continuing to support and contribute to rural healthcare enhancement for many years to come.

10 years, Evelyn Alec, logo refresh, new logoRCCbc
