Registration for the Rural Coordination Centre of BC’s (RCCbc) annual BC Rural Health Conference (RHC – formerly the Rural Emergency Continuum of Care (RECC) conference) will open shortly this February.
The RHC conference will be returning to the Prince George Civic and Conference Centre on Friday and Saturday May 12 + 13, 2017. As with previous years, high demand accredited courses – such as The CARE Course, HOUSE, and the Shock Course – will be offered before the RHC conference. UNBC and UBC Faculty of Medicine’s Faculty Development group will once again offer a full day Northern Reflections Medical Education Day for preceptors and residents. Registration details for these events will be available in the conference brochure.
This year’s conference will feature sessions and plenaries covering several topics in rural medicine, including obstetrics, indigenous health, orthopedics, and disease management. Policy topics, such as Medical Assistance in Dying, Advanced Billing, and physician resiliency, will also be covered during the two days of sessions.
The RHC conference provides accessible and accredited interprofessional education for BC’s rural and regional physicians, specialists, nurse practitioners, nurses, paramedics and first responders. This meeting provides great opportunities for networking and learning with colleagues from across the province. Complimentary childcare is available during conference hours – bring the whole family with you to this fantastic learning event!
If you would like to receive the RHC brochure directly in your inbox, email firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the mailing list.
