During the 2016 Rural Emergency Continuum of Care (RECC) conference – taking place on June 9 and 10 in Prince George, BC – several rural health discussions will be taking place alongside the accredited offerings.

On Thursday, June 9, the following discussions will be taking place at the 2016 RECC conference site:

7:00 – 8:00 am   |   Rural Maternity Update Breakfast, co-hosted by RCCbc‘s Rural OB Network and Perinatal Services BC

10:00 – 11:00 am   |   Recruitment and Retention Discussion, facilitated by Dr. David Snadden and Ms. Reina Pherness

12:00 noon – 1:00 pm   |   Resiliency, facilitated by Dr. Kirstie Overhill

3:00 – 4:00 pm   |   Telehealth Expansion in Rural and Remote Communities: Creating a Forum for Sharing and Learning From Telehealth Experiences Across BC, facilitated by Rural and Remote Division of Family Practice and RCCbc/REAP

There will be an additional meeting on Friday, June 10:

11:00 am – 1:00 pm   |   Rural Surgery Anesthesia and Operative Delivery Network Lunch, facilitated by Drs. Stu Iglesias and Kirk McCarroll.

These meetings are open to all RECC conference delegates. No registration is required to join these discussions. Look for the signage at the Prince George Civic Centre or inquire at the registration desk on site during the conference.
