Airway management is one of the many topics that will be discussed and practiced at RECC 2015
The Rural Coordination Centre of BC (RCCbc) will once again host its Rural Emergency Continuum of Care (RECC) conference in Penticton, BC on Friday and Saturday May 22 + 23, 2015.
Rural health practitioners, administrators, and health educators are all invited to learn about rural emergency medicine, physician support initiatives, and wilderness medicine. Conference delegates will have the opportunity to brush up on a wide range of topics including airway management, obstetrical and gynecological emergencies, indigenous cultural competency, and clinical coaching. There will be a wide selection of hands-on workshops to choose from for the 2015 event, including suturing, ultrasound, casting, and injections.
Pre-courses, such as the Shock Course and Third Trimester Obstetrical Ultrasound will be offered on Wednesday and Thursday, May 20 + 21, 2015. The innovative and popular Wilderness Medicine course will be offered as a post-course on Sunday, May 24, 2015.
Complete details of the content for 2015 will be available on RCCbc’s web site at www.rccbc.ca at the end of February. Hands-on workshops are limited in size and fill up quickly – be prepared to register early to avoid disappointment.
