A two day continuing medical education event for British Columbia’s general practitioner anaesthetists (GPAs) is taking place November 8 and 9, 2014 at the Ramada Hotel in Prince George. This year’s program will cover a wide variety of topics, including:
- obstetrical anaesthesia
- pediatric anaesthesia
- current issues in airway management
- point-of-care echocardiography
- ventilation in the periphery
- current trends in anaesthesia
- professional liability in anaesthesia
There will also be four rotating workshops providing hands on skills in anaesthesia, trauma, pediatrics, and transthoracic echocardiography on Saturday, November 8.
During the afternoon of Sunday, November 9, the discussion will focus on current events within the profession. There will be an update from the BCAS, a report on interpretation of the Provincial Privileging Project, and a conversation about future GPA initiatives in British Columbia.
